[ Sneaking around had become nearly second nature for Steve during the war and even being in a new time period changed very little with his natural instincts. Better safe than sorry and he needed to explore more to trust the war really ended. He hoped, almost desperately but he knew better than to blindly believe anything anyone said, especially those in a government setting.
