Through it all or in spite of it all, Zelo managed to retain his sense of awe and wonder of the universes, capturing each strand of it to clutch between carefully poised fingers. He enjoyed learning about the spaces around him, slipping between them to try and find a nook for himself. A place of rest, a beginning without any true ending. He never managed an ending, even with all his long lived years but he did capture a different kind of magic sometimes. The one that only existed in rare moments such as the one currently stretching out before him.
What could be more magical and wondrous than someone so hardened opening up to the overwhelming unknown? It enraptured him, focused every inch of him down until he only saw the essence of Sage. All fire and fury but also cool tides underneath his skin. It swept him up, rocked him back and forth in the closest thing he ever found to peace.
The kiss unwound him more and he gave everything of himself in response. Lips moving quickly and deeply with an underlying sense of desperation he never allowed to show. Every cell screaming please; for more, to stay, and to not shatter the precarious witch barely held together to begin with.
They pressed together and Zelo wound himself around Sage as if they could melt into one person and never exist alone again. "Always," he whispered into Sage's neck as if the witch could promise such a thing, make good on it and never let him go.
He kissed him again, hands running everywhere he could reach with how close they were.
How dare you with these emotions!!
