Before the cursed exile, Zelo lived in a time of great happiness and pure magic, the type to linger on the skin and light up everything else around it. There were dark times, of course, wars threatening the very foundations of what they built but the dragons always won. They were the ones keeping the very fabrics of the universe together so what did a little pain and chaos matter in the long run? With newly opened eyes, Zelo saw it in a different light and how happiness had been tailor made and carefully constructed for all of them. Freedom only loomed there as a masquerade as did peace.
On earth, things were just as complicated and not any easier but they were also filled with choices. There were categories and opportunities for everything, which meant so much to him and for some unknown reason someone like Sage had decided to choose him. Sage wanted him and not just for what he could do or what his presence meant like back home. The swamp witch saw all the breaks and just breathed into them rather than just knock it all down.
He didn't know what he did to deserve it but he only wanted to make Sage happy. To see the other let loose and feel actual joy, radiating with all the possibilities of what the universe had kindness enough to offer. They felt enough of blood and fury to last a couple of lifetimes and he would know.
Groaning, he arched into Sage's hands, each touch a balm of coolness and relief. It flooded through him, swirling along with the fire and he felt lighter because of it. Like a mist, drifting back and forth as it once had in his home universe with the stars.
They settled onto the ground and his heart began to pound even harder. "Forever," he voiced without thinking twice about it, knowing exactly the kind of commitment it stretched before them. Nearly as deeply as a wedding vow. Whatever he wanted? Everything. He wanted every little thing. Leaning in, he kissed Sage, moving down his body to cover every single inch, eventually reaching his pants but they were quickly discarded to give more skin. The coolness and heat were such a contrast but felt so good to him. He swirled his tongue before he mouthed over Sage's underwear, looking up at him with hooded eyes. Sage feeling incredible meant more to him than anything else in all the universe, whether intimately or otherwise.
