of course, just as he starts to relax his jaw a little, the full force hits. the salve hurts more than getting the burns. stinging sharp pain that lances down to his bones and is not at all pleasurable. the Hound makes a noise, one that is muffled by the fabric thankfully, but he still screws his eyes shut and bends his head forward, unconsciously seeing to lean into Adder a little more. seeking the other out because, for him, there is no place safer.
as the pain fade, Ros gasps, free hand holding the fabric and he heaves in a breath.]
