With too much pain and agony experienced in the last couple of years, Steve wanted nothing more than to leave and start over again somewhere no one knew him. The disillusionment had reached an all time high and he no longer knew what he believed in or what he wanted to be. The world had changed and not at all for the better so where did it leave him?
A man out of time. A symbol of the past.
He just wanted to be a man. Lost in the ground; nobody.
Finishing with packing up, he wandered off to find Bucky to see if he finished. Getting him back had been an ordeal and he still wouldn't talk about what he did to make it happen. "Hey, Buck, you ready to go yet?" He leaned in slowly to press a kiss to the top of his head.
