"Cait Sidhe," he replied simply. His people rarely interacted with the rest of the fae, preferring to keep to themselves, but that was because many of the other fae races saw them as little more than animals - barely better than humans. But his parents had decided to make a rare alliance outside their court, and they'd apparently found someone willing to accept. Sam was still surprised it had even happened at all.
"What kind of odd things?" Sam studied T'Challa closely. "Of course I'll accompany you." Which might not have been the wisest decision, following someone he'd only just met when he'd admitted that strange things had been happening, but Sam didn't have anyone he could trust here - didn't know anyone at all. T'Challa was his only choice.
A Cait Sidhe, of course, the appearance features clicked in more once he heard the label of the division named. He should have known before but with how rare the division tended to be, no one really considered including them in passing or not so passing thoughts. Intetesting; there were conversations he needed to have later about everything, especially on being filled in. Important information right there and sort of changed his view on a few things.
Back to the task at hand for the time being. There would be plenty of time later to contemplate everything. He offered a nod of his head towards Sam accompanying him and also towards the great reveal. Perhaps, teaming up might allow them to learn more about one another and find the sort of balance between them.
"Odd as in disappearances or changes," he explained as he lead them out of the room. "The crime scenes never make any sense. It disturbs most who have witnessed any of it. "
"Has there been any magical tampering?" Sam asked, tilting his head inquisitively. "It sounds like someone's trying to hide their tracks, make you think it couldn't be anyone familiar." Were the disappearances themselves magical in nature? It seemed probable, all things considered - and he was sure the Wakandans would have pursued that line of investigation already.
"Have there been any killings?" Assassination was a familiar tactic among the fae; outright murder was rather less so. There were a thousand unspoken rules that governed their lives, but tradition was tradition, and breaking it was unthinkable for most. Especially, he would bet, in a place like Wakanda.
