it's completely okay!!

Looking at Peter standing there ignited another round of anger to wash over him but more so directed towards Tony for ever involving the kid. Had he even finished high school yet? By the looks of the books and laptop, he'd have to guess not so much. Why would Tony recruit a kid to join a battle against something he didn't have any part in? Honestly, few were actually apart of things but it all spiralled too quickly for Steve to try and put a stop to any of it. The attacks on Bucky drove him to involve others and Tony, in kind, recruited his own ranks to try and stop him from opposing the Accords.

The Accords kept a low churning fire deep within him and he knew the fight would continue. The governments wanted the Accords set into place but he refused to accept the documents for what they meant for not only those with enhanced abilities but for the world at large. There were often dangers no one could ever anticipate and having to go through so much red tape would put more in danger. The officials just did not understand since they didn't walk through the battlefields. Yes, they caused damage in pursuit of rescues but the so-called villains would have accomplished far worse if they hadn't intervened in time. Either way, there would be backlash and ruins incurred.

They just needed a better system on who to involve and when, which did not include Peter Parker. The kid needed to stay as far away from the battlefields as possible. Didn't he know how quickly things happened? One moment could change things forever.

Looking around the room, his eyes settled back onto Peter. "Were you debriefed at all after the battles?" Steve eventually asked, arms folded against his chest. "Do you understand about the Accords?" His face held clear contempt on simply mentioning the Accords at all. "They've been passed, regardless of how some of us feel about it." He shook his head with a soft sigh. "We're still trying to fight but some of us are -- fugitives now." Mostly, the officials needed someone to take the fall for everything they did wrong but Steve flat out refused to let Bucky endure any more pain. The man went through enough.

"I'm going to need you to keep an eye on things but stay out of the bigger battles," Steve continued, eyes drifting over towards the window. "There are some things I need to do and I'll be -- let's say out of commission for awhile." They needed a scrape goat and no one else worked for the role. They would want him as the clear 'mastermind' of the rebellion or Bucky as the clear 'criminal' of things. It didn't leave a lot of options but Steve always did what needed to be done.
