[ he really shouldn't test someone who could kick his ass but he's hoping on fondness saving him again. ]

[ What is saving him is that she is in bed and wants to stay there. ]

Stop bothering me or I will give you a real reason to run.

[stevegrogers]

[ He still says fondness, thank you very much. ]

Now,
there's some motivation. How do you feel about middle of the night snacks?

[ What is wrong with this man... ]

Is there a reason you appear to be bound and determined to make me leave my bed tonight?

[stevegrogers]

[ you answered back, sif, that is the problem here. ]

Wanting your company isn't answer enough?

[fiercestwarrior]

[ Next time she'll know better. ]

You are so eager for my company that it could not wait until morning?

[stevegrogers]

[ come on, he's earnest at least. ]

That would be correct. A lot of hours during the night, you know.

[fiercestwarrior]

I am not leaving this bed, if you want to see me so badly you will just have to join me in it.

[ She really didn't think that one through. She's tired okay. ]

[ excuse him, he might be a little confused. surprised. something. plus, is it a trap? ]

[fiercestwarrior]

[ That came out weird but you know what she is not going to backpedal because that is not the asgardian way. ]

We would both get what we want that way, yes?

[stevegrogers]

Yes, okay. Fifteen minutes?

[ He needed to actually get a snack in case she would expect it. ]

[fiercestwarrior]

As you wish.

[ He will have to wake her up again once he arrives because she will have fallen back asleep. ]

[stevegrogers]

[ Smile faintly stretching across his lips, he crept out of his room and headed to Sif's. When he arrived he had a dilemma about knocking or just going inside. In the end, he tried the door. ]

Sif? Don't punch me, okay, I'm coming inside.

[fiercestwarrior]

[ Sif was a fairly light sleeper so that knock was really all it took for her to rejoin the waking world. ]

I will not punch you.

[ Probably. ]

[stevegrogers]

[ A risk he felt willing to take as he slipped inside the room and stood awkwardly at the bed.

He couldn't just get in without her invitation. ]

Hey Sif.

[ A slight pause. ]

Fancy seeing you here.

[fiercestwarrior]

[ That earned him an amused snort as she shifted to make room for him. ]

Truly shocking, I know. Are you joining me?

[stevegrogers]

[ with the invitation in place, Steve moved forward to slip into the other side of the bed, giving a soft smile her way. ]

Do you miss home?

[fiercestwarrior]

[ She rolled over on her side, one arm tucked under her head as she looked up at him. ]

I have no home to return to.

[ Thor hadn't told him? ]

[stevegrogers]

[ Moving around to get comfortable, he looked at her for a moment. It had been awhile since he had a heart to heart with Thor. Clearly, he missed something. ]

What happened?

[fiercestwarrior]

The goddess of death, Hela, attacked. The only way to stop her was to destroy Asgard.

[ She trusts that there really was no other way, but that doesn't do anything to lessen the pain. ]

[stevegrogers]

[ Asgard destroyed? A frown filled his face as he reached out to place a hand on Sif's arm.

They had both lost everything that had meant anything to them. A sort of kinship he wished she didn't have to feel. ]

I'm really sorry, Sif. Are you - trying to make your home here now?
