While he did not see the necessity for an auror to accompany him, at least he had actual thoughts
and theories to offer. The curse being so nasty put more pressure on them to figure it out and fast as possible. With a nod of his head, he whispered a spell to test and see if other curses were cast recently. "Using objects is a tricky business because you never know what may happen to the item. I believe it might be a curse or a potion of some sort." The latter being what he believed to be the true cause because it would be all too easy to taint a lot of liquids for others to consume. With the proper spell, it could be more reliable as well.

"We need to figure out the true targets because at the moment it appear randomly done. No one with this sort of planning and precision would leave anything up to chance." He looked over at the auror. "How long have you been an auror?"
