[ The lack of belief always surprised him because there were so many signs all the time! Magic had existed since the beginning of time and some were able to harness it better than others. The selkie were one of the masters, especially with a shift and a change. The water fueling them and everything around them as well. But skeptics were able to often dispel things with their absolute disregard for having an open mind. Easy enough until a bond came into play.

They were about to experience things no one could easily write off. Not even Haeju. ]

Thank you. [ He murmured and stepped inside. ] You might want to sit down soon before the water starts churning inside of you and you feel -- [ He waved his hand off, biting his lip because who knew how intense it might be. ]

[ Haeju is nothing if not great at being stubborn and closed to new ideas. At least, new ideas that completely shake up his understanding of the world. He's not against progress, but accepting the existence of magic doesn't really sound like progress to him, it sounds like lunacy.

More absurd, however, is having someone perform unexplainable feats of magic in front of you, and absolutely refusing to believe in any of it; that is definitely where the stubborn part of Haeju's personality comes in, but in his defense he got that from his mom.

He raises an eyebrow at that comment, but walks to the living room couch to sit down. He doesn't feel off.

Well... not that off, and the wording seems strange. ]

Sorry, the water churning inside me? What does that even mean?

[ While he understood being stubborn and resisting certain things in the world, there eventually reached a point of having to open your mind to something more. Something no one could easily explain through logical explanations. Perhaps, they were finally reaching said moment.

Selkie bonds were difficult to just write off and act as if they did not exist.

Following over to the couch, Kai sat down but made sure to leave plenty of space between them. ]

You probably wouldn't listen or believe me if I explained it so we'll wait for you to feel it. It'll be harder for your nature to remain hidden then.

[ An apologetic expression filled his face because he knew how different things would be very soon. ]

For what it is worth, I'm really sorry.

[ If anyone could find a way to write off a selkie bond as nothing more than some sort of viral infection though, it would definitely be Haeju. His ability to logic away most magical explanations is almost legendary at this point, and he'll be damned if he doesn't dig in his heels some through this whole newlywed process.

He's already starting to feel a little bit warm.

Fever? Embarrassment over the situation? Either one seems likely to him, and he's not ready to buy into this notion of water churning inside him, even if it does feel like something deep in a part of his body he's having trouble assigning to a specific organ is starting to stir. ]

How about you explain what you mean instead of apologizing. I mean, I won't believe you, but I still want to know what this is all about.
