I certainly didn't expect to survive, if that's what you mean by disoriented.

And if I did, what of it? It's not as though I have people who wish for my continued existence.

Thor probably does. He seems to think you're worth a second chance.

My entire life was a lie, Captain. "Hard" does not quite cover the adjustment I needed to do.

You could be doing worse. Or you're just good at hiding things.

That can get exhausting eventually.

Bucky doesn't deserve anything that happened to him. It wasn't his choice.

I'll deal with that eventuality when I approach it.

[ Aka he'll keep doing it until it stops working. ]

Choice or not, he's still irrevocably changed by it. Neither of us are the people we once were.

but you can do so much more if you allowed yourself the chance.

You don't have to just exist.

What does that mean to be more? No one has wanted me to be more. No one even knows how to define it?

It is easy to say more, but what more is there?

To explore and find that out.

More is different for everyone.

It's like what makes everything worth it.

That is easy for those who have worth.

The very measure of my worth — my life and breath — amounted to what my father could use me for.
