[ As the song ended, Myung let his fingers rest on the keys, his head bowed for a moment longer before he turned to Kai, looking a little bit dazed before his gaze cleared. Playing always gripped him from the inside out, shook him from his core outwards.
He couldn't imagine a life without it. Even when he hated it, it was there. ]
[ did he like it? his eyes widened at myung even feeling the need to have to ask. scooting forward, he linked his arm through myung's and placed his head on his shoulder.

It was so beautiful, Myung. I could listen to you for hours on end. It's like being taken to a whole other world when you play.
[ Myung smiled, undoubtedly pleased by the answer. He bowed his head again, his hand finding Kai's on his arm. ]
Well, I do give concerts and recitals regularly, for school. And if we're to spend a lot of time together, I guess you'll get to hear a lot of it. It's - my entire life.
That's really exciting. What - what do you want to specifically do career wise? [ kai asked, comforted by the closer contact they had with one another and the fact myung seemed to have stopped panicking for the time being. when the bond woke up it might shift things again.

I never had the chance to go to school but I like what I ended up doing. The new age shop a kind of front for the more magic sense of it. It is kind of an apothecary! Herbs and spices all of that, on the upper levels. For those who are magical, things are different down below.
[ It wasn't something he admitted that often, because it seemed like such an impossible dream. There were so little classical composers these days that made a name for themselves. ]
But I'm studying for concert pianist gigs. I'd like to find a spot somewhere in a famous orchestra, like London, or Sydney, or Vienna. Play with one of the best orchestras in the world. Bit of a pipe dream, too. I'm probably going to end up being a session musician.
[ Myung listened intently, nodding in the right places, quite interested. ]
[ composing! what an amazing thought and kai nodded his head eagerly as he continued to listen to myung. what a special husband he had ended up with, nothing awful like he might have found in the sea. the arranged marriage for him would have been not great and he shuddered to think of what his life would have been like. ]
You're so talented, Myung, I think you can do any of those things. You have to dream big to get big and impossible things.
[ he vowed to himself to not ever let myung give up. ] We can go by there tomorrow if you want to. I'd like to show all of it to you.
I would have to come with you, yes. [ kai agreed, eyes searching over myung's face for a moment. ] I would not hate it. There's water over there! It would be a new adventure and you would be so happy.
[ myung's happiness already mattered so much to him. ]
[ The way Kai spoke, so confident and willing, already sounding like Myung's happiness was all he wanted, well. It makes a blush rise up Myung's cheeks, warm and somehow, somehow, kinda content. ]
[ reaching out to brush his fingers along myung's cheeks, he gave a nod of his head. ]
I would be happy if you were happy. I think you would be happy if I'm happy. It would be kind of a cycle! A circle. We'll figure all that stuff out. My - life will be different now on the ground. I'll have to - figure things out.
[ kai would make sure myung did not hate himself. not for this; not for anything at all. he wanted so much for myung to find all the ways to love himself.

The great thing about life is things are always changing! I'm excited about what is in store for us. Don't think you're taking me away...you're giving me so much more, Myung. You're giving me a life that I'll get to pick.
[ he looked down for a moment. ] Otherwise, I would have been someone's trophy to parade around. The meremen aren't - aren't the nicest and that would have been my arrangement.
[ It would take time. It would take so much time for Myung to get used to it, to make sense of the fact that this was it. That he was actually, for real, married, and that there was no way out. For now, he was busier enjoying Kai's company, learning to know him, but it didn't quite feel real, just yet. Maybe it would never. ]
I definitely - whatever you expected it to be, it won't be that. We're in this together, right? 50/50, okay? We're equals. It's not just about me. I want you to tell me what you want.
[ the words had him lighting up, a kind of surprised but very pleased look working over his face. he wanted more than he could properly put into words at the moment. things he did not have a name for yet but maybe would in time. ]

Yeah. I'll tell you. But just so you know, this is all new to me, too. I can't promise I won't freak out again, because I will. But I'll still do my best and - talk to you.
[ Because Kai had done an amazing job at bringing him down from his panic earlier, so simply, and somehow, Myung had a feeling he'd be able to again. ]
[ likely, they would both freak out while attempting to adjust to things but it would be worth it. kai found it completely worth it and wanted myung to feel wanted and special. if he could manage it, he knew everything else would fall into place. effort mattered at the end of it all. ]
That's all I ask. If we close down on each other or don't even try, this won't work out.... [ which would be terrible given they couldn't end it. well, unless he died but even then myung would feel lost trying to be with anyone else. ]
We can slowly get to know each other. One step at a time. I know some things here about you already!
[ Myung nodded. Kai made sense, even if nothing else did. But Myung could already feel it, in his stomach, how Kai seemed to have a calming, reassuring effect on him. He felt good, here, with Kai by his side.
